Project Summary :
The Turkish-German Exchange Project on the Integration of Syrian Refugees into Host Communities is implemented in Turkey by GIZ. UMT is one the Project partners besides the Vice President’s Office, Ministry of National Education, Ministry of Family, Labour and Social Services, Ministry of Youth and Sports, Directorate General of Migration Management, Small and Medium Enterprises Development Organisation (KOSGEB) and the municipalities from various Turkish provinces.
The Project consists of three basic components which are needs assessment, exchange formats and capacity development. To support ministries in identifying their strategic priorities to better integrate refugees into public services is aimed to be carried with the needs assessment component. The objective of the second component is to establish some mechanisms for exchange, such as study visits, conferences, training events, peer-to-peer learning networks and institutional partnerships between German and Turkish state actors. And the last component is about providing capacity development measures and technical assistance on the revision and implementation of guidelines at ministerial level.
Within the Project, 13 study visits, 2 information sessions, 2 panels, 1 round table have taken place.
